October is set to be another fun-filled month here at The Grange Residential Home, with plenty of music, pampering, games, creative activities and autumn outings for everyone to enjoy. We have lots to look forward to, so let’s see what’s coming up!
We’ll be starting October with a lovely celebration of National Coffee Day, enjoying a nice cup of coffee together and sharing some conversation. We’ll also celebrate World Poetry Day with some favourite poems, readings and perhaps a few memories inspired by poetry.
Time to sit back, relax and enjoy some well-deserved pampering! Our residents can enjoy a little bit of TLC, while the gentlemen can enjoy our traditional wet shave session. A lovely way to end the first week of October feeling refreshed and looking your best!
We’ll be putting our knowledge to the test with a fun Black History Month quiz. It’s a great opportunity to learn something new, remember important people and events, and enjoy a little friendly competition along the way!
Weather permitting, we’ll be enjoying some fresh air with walks around our grounds, taking in the beautiful autumn scenery. It’s also Hairdresser Day, giving our residents the chance to have their hair beautifully styled and enjoy some salon time here at The Grange.
We’re delighted to welcome Terry the Singer back to The Grange! Get ready for an afternoon of familiar favourites, plenty of singing along and, of course, lots of smiles.
Another relaxing Pamper Day awaits! Residents can enjoy some time being pampered, while our gentlemen can enjoy a traditional wet shave. A perfect opportunity to relax and be looked after.
It’s time for some fun and games! We’ll be enjoying Bingo Singo and Dominoes, with plenty of laughter, friendly competition and perhaps a few winners celebrating their success!
We have a very exciting day planned! Amee the Singer will be entertaining us with some wonderful music, and we’ll also be heading out on a trip to the garden centre and farm. Hopefully, we’ll enjoy some lovely autumn sights along the way.
Halloween preparations begin! We’ll be getting creative with some Halloween arts and crafts, making some spooky decorations and enjoying a little seasonal creativity. It’s also Hairdresser Day, so residents can enjoy some time being pampered and having their hair styled.
Today is all about spreading a little extra love! National I Love You Day gives us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the special people in our lives and share some lovely memories, kind words and plenty of smiles.
The Rugby League World Cup begins, so we’ll be getting into the sporting spirit! We’ll have a chat about the competition, share memories of rugby and, for those who enjoy the sport, keep an eye on the action.
Get ready to warm up those vocal cords! It’s Karaoke and Sing-Along Day, so we’ll be singing some favourite songs together. Whether you’re a confident singer or prefer joining in from your chair, everyone is welcome!
We’re looking forward to welcoming Colin the Singer back to The Grange for another afternoon of fantastic entertainment. We’ll also be having some Halloween fun with a Halloween Piñata – let’s see who can have the best swing!
We’ll be enjoying a visit from the Step by Step Ladies, followed by another Hairdresser Day. It’s set to be a lovely day of entertainment, conversation and a little bit of pampering.
👨👩👧 Residents’ Friends & Family Meeting – 11am
We will also be holding our Residents’ Friends and Family Meeting at 11am. We look forward to welcoming our residents’ loved ones and sharing updates about life here at The Grange.
It’s National Apple Day, and we’ll be celebrating with some traditional apple-themed fun! We’ll be having a go at apple bobbing and enjoying a few laughs along the way.
Let the games begin! We’ll have a selection of favourite games for everyone to enjoy, with plenty of opportunities for some friendly competition, laughter and time together.

We’re pleased to welcome Dave the Singer to The Grange for some fantastic musical entertainment. It’s also Hairdresser Day, giving everyone the chance to enjoy a little salon time and leave feeling fabulous!
Today we’ll be getting creative with a beautiful flower-arranging session. Residents can choose their favourite flowers and create some lovely arrangements to brighten up The Grange.
Halloween is getting closer! We’ll be getting into the spooky spirit with some pumpkin carving. We’re looking forward to seeing all the wonderful creations our residents come up with!
We’ll finish the month with some more Halloween creativity! Residents can enjoy Halloween pottery painting, creating their own spooky masterpieces and having lots of fun along the way.
