Communal Areas

The Grange has two lounges, one which has three areas and access to a large patio area and direct access to a balcony and garden.

We have an area for guests to make a hot drink with a wide range of teas and coffee.

The dining room is bright and spacious for residents to enjoy a relaxed meal time.

Lifts

There is a lift available to access the upstairs living area.

Bedrooms

We have 32 single rooms and 2 double rooms, all with en-suite facilities. All rooms are spacious, furnished and have access to a lockable cabinet for privacy. Each room has a call system to request a carer for assistance. We encourage residents to bring their own belongings with them to personalise their room and make it feel like home. Some rooms have a telephone point and TV point.

Bathrooms

We have one shower room downstairs which is wheelchair accessible and also two large bathrooms downstairs and up with specially designed equipment for all residents to use.

Laundry

The home offer a laundry service with no extra charges.

Mealtimes

The Grange offer a high standard of fresh locally sourced products from the area this ensures we provide a balanced and varied diet.

If a resident is wanting an early or late meal this can be arranged.

Drinks trolleys go round four times daily with a selection of hot and cold drinks; this includes supper for late evening. Both lounges also have drinks available and always fresh fruit and snacks available throughout the day. Staff are always available if a resident wants something from the kitchen.

Visitors

The Grange welcomes visitors throughout the day/evening please feel free to make drinks from the visitor’s area.

Mail and Phone Access

Mail for residents is given out daily and residents have access to local newsagents that will deliver any papers/magazines requested. All rooms have a phone point and there is a payphone at the main entrance hall for residents/families to use.

Other Services The Grange Offers

Chiropodist, Dentist, Optician and Physio visit on a regular basis to the home. Local churches attend once a month.

Entertainment at The Grange

The Grange offers a wide variety of activities and trips throughout the year. Shirley our Activities Coordinator organizes monthly plans that are given to all residents and displayed on notice boards in the reception, to keep families up to date in what is coming up. We also have a monthly newsletter. We have access to a mini bus which enables us to enjoy many fun days out on trips around the area.

Day Care

The Grange offers a day care service between the hours of 8am and 6pm, this includes meals , a shower if required . We do have a reliable taxi company that you can arrange transport with  , he can also accomodate wheelchairs
