November is here, and we have another lovely month of activities, entertainment and special moments planned at The Grange! From live music and games to pamper days, creative crafts and plenty of singing, there will be lots of opportunities for everyone to get involved, have fun and make wonderful memories together.
Here is a look at what we have planned throughout the month.
Monday 2nd November – Games Day
We are kicking off the month with a fun-filled Games Day! There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy some friendly competition, share a few laughs and spend quality time together.
Tuesday 3rd November – Pamper Day, Hot Shaves and Hairdresser
Time to sit back, relax and enjoy a little well-deserved pampering! Residents can enjoy our pamper session and hot shaves, as well as a visit from the hairdresser to help everyone look and feel their best.
Wednesday 4th November – Reminiscing and Group Chats
We will be taking a trip down memory lane, sharing stories, favourite memories and experiences from years gone by. These relaxed group chats are a wonderful way to connect, reminisce and learn more about one another.
Thursday 5th November – Bonfire Night Celebrations
Remember, remember the 5th of November! We will be celebrating Bonfire Night with delicious hot dogs and some seasonal arts and crafts. It promises to be a lovely day filled with creativity, conversation and a little Bonfire Night spirit.
Friday 6th November – Bingo Day
Eyes down, it's time for Bingo! We will be enjoying one of our favourite activities, with plenty of excitement as we wait to see who will be shouting “Bingo!” first.
Monday 9th November – Dominoes Day
We will be getting the dominoes out for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. Whether you're a seasoned player or simply joining in for the fun, everyone is welcome!
Tuesday 10th November – Pamper Day, Hot Shaves and Hairdresser
Another opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved self-care! Residents can relax with our pamper sessions and hot shaves, alongside a visit from the hairdresser.
Wednesday 11th November – Remembrance Day and Terry the Singer
We will come together to mark Remembrance Day with a respectful one-minute silence to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed. We will also share memories and stories during our group chats. Later, we look forward to welcoming Terry, who will entertain us with his wonderful singing and help make it a special day.
Thursday 12th November – Musical Instruments and Gentle Exercises
Music and movement take centre stage! We will enjoy using musical instruments alongside gentle arm and leg exercises, helping everyone to keep moving, have fun and enjoy the uplifting power of music.
Friday 13th November – World Kindness Day
A day dedicated to spreading happiness and kindness! We will be creating our very own Kindness Tree, writing down thoughtful messages and kind things about one another to display. It will be a lovely reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
Monday 16th November – Colin the Singer
We are delighted to welcome Colin back to The Grange! Get ready for an enjoyable musical session, with familiar tunes, plenty of singing and hopefully a few toes tapping along.
Tuesday 17th November – Steps Ladies and Hairdresser Day
We look forward to welcoming the Steps ladies for a lovely visit, bringing companionship and a chance to enjoy some social time together. It is also hairdresser day, giving residents another opportunity to enjoy a little pampering.
Wednesday 18th November – Games Day
It's time to get competitive again! We will enjoy another fun-filled Games Day, with a variety of activities to encourage participation, laughter and friendly rivalry.
Thursday 19th November – Flower Arranging
We will be getting creative with a beautiful flower-arranging session. Residents can enjoy choosing colours and arranging flowers to create lovely displays, bringing a little extra colour and freshness into the home.
Friday 20th November – Karaoke and Sing-Along Day
Warm up those vocal cords because it's time for karaoke! Whether you love taking centre stage or prefer singing along from your seat, everyone can join in with their favourite songs. We are looking forward to plenty of smiles, music and entertainment.
Monday 23rd November – Cupcake Decorating
Time to get creative in the kitchen! We will be decorating delicious cupcakes, choosing our favourite colours and toppings to make some lovely treats. We can look forward to plenty of creativity and, of course, a little temptation to sample our creations!
Tuesday 24th November – Dave the Singer
We are pleased to welcome Dave to The Grange for another entertaining musical session. Residents can sit back, enjoy the performance, sing along to familiar favourites and make the most of a lovely afternoon of live music.
Wednesday 25th November – Jigsaw Puzzle Day
We will be putting our heads together for Jigsaw Puzzle Day! Working together to complete a puzzle is a wonderful way to enjoy some quiet time, keep our minds active and celebrate each little piece that fits into place.
Thursday 26th November – Friends and Family Meeting, 11am
We look forward to welcoming our residents' friends and families to our meeting at 11am. It is a valuable opportunity to come together, share thoughts and updates, and continue working as a team to make The Grange the very best home it can be.
Friday 27th November – Pizza Making Day
We are finishing the week with a delicious activity! Residents will have the opportunity to get involved in making their own pizzas, choosing their favourite toppings and enjoying some hands-on fun. We wonder who will create the tastiest combination!
A very happy birthday to Lily, who celebrates her birthday on 29th November!
We hope Lily has a wonderful birthday filled with happiness, laughter and lots of love from everyone at The Grange.
As we move through November, we look forward to enjoying all these wonderful activities together. From remembering important moments and sharing stories to singing, creating and celebrating, we hope the month brings plenty of happiness to our residents.
